Italian yachting giant Ferretti Group celebrated the 10th edition of its famed 'Private Preview' event last weekend (4-7 September), inviting select clients and guests to celebrate the start of the 2025 show season. The event returned to the Yacht Club de Monaco, with guests treated to eight yacht premieres and a live performance from British pop band, Simply Red, on Saturday (6 September).

Marking the start of the Mediterranean yacht show season, Ferretti's Private Preview is designed to offer an exclusive pre-show setting for new clients, current owners and select guests to step on board the Group's fleet, tour new models and head out to Monaco's bay for sea trials on the most eagerly awaited new launches.

This year's edition saw a fleet of over 30 yachts in attendance alongside eight premieres, including the recently launched Ferretti Yachts 800 and the Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super: the brand's latest flybridge yacht with "radical restyling". Other debuts included the Ferretti Yachts 940 and the Pershing GTX70, which was unveiled to mark Pershing's 40th anniversary, as well as the limited edition Riva Cento and the Aquariva Special.

The exclusive four-day event concluded on Saturday with an evening concert by British band, Simply Red. Led by band leader, singer and songwriter, Mick Hucknall, the performance included the likes of top hits, Stars and Holding Back the Years, alongside new releases - all in anticipation of the band’s 40th anniversary world tour.

Commenting on the concert, Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said: “A big thank you to Mick Hucknall and Simply Red - I am still singing all the many hits from their fantastic concert! This wonderful evening goes to show that talent and passion are the key ingredients of every successful project, from music to yachts."

He continued: "A Private Preview – in its 10th edition – as exciting as this one, with eight premières and the most fantastic boats of the world, is the perfect start to this year’s boat show season."

Guests were also treated to a "haute cuisine" dinner curated by chef Antonio Mellino, owner of the three Michelin-starred restaurant, Quattro Passi a Nerano, located on the Amalfi Coast.

For the 10th edition, Ferretti Group was joined by Range Rover, which showcased several of its models, and Flexjet, which recently presented the Riva Volare project featuring the first Gulfstream G650 and the first helicopter with custom Riva interiors, alongside several other luxury sponsors.

The 2025 Private Preview comes at a busy time for the brand, which recently announced the appointment of Giordano Pellacani as its new chief commercial officer amid recent consolidated revenues in the first half (H1) of 2025.
