Pure Balance Retreats, which will launch its first event at the end of January 2017, has been co-founded by Woody Edmiston (son of company chairman Nick Edmiston) and his business partner Charlie Jouning.

Well-versed in the yachting industry, Woody was a member of Team GBR during the 2001/2002 America’s Cup as part of the training and physiotherapy team. He sails professionally and regularly competes in international regattas, but health and wellbeing have been at the core of his work for many years.

The current Pure Balance Retreat location is at Hillersdon House, a stunning stately home at the heart of the Devonshire countryside.

With only eight luxury bedrooms, numbers are limited and guests will benefit from exclusive group sessions and one-to-ones with a team of carefully curated life coaches, nutritionists and health practitioners.

The on-land Pure Balance Retreats will initially take place at Hillersdon House

Inspired by the needs and desires of the superyacht community, the company will also offer the Pure Balance Privè service — available from spring 2017, the retreat will take place on board luxury yachts and will be designed for clients who require total privacy for their family and friends. Guests can benefit from a range of wellness techniques, classes and a deliciously healthy menu, all taken care of by the Pure Balance Retreats team.

They will arrange for a group of professionals to accompany you on the trip, providing yoga, mindfulness, nutrition, sound healing, hypnotherapy, life coaching and other activities tailored to the needs of guests on board.
