EYOS launches narrative-driven charter concept with 57m Solace

11 June 2025 • Written by Georgia Boscawen

EYOS has partnered with the newly refitted 57-metre Feadship, Solace, to launch a unique narrative-driven charter concept. Named the "Solace Odyssey", the offering will take place over three years, where Solace will undertake continuous eastward circumnavigation, visiting destinations including the Maldives and the Northwest Passage.

Under the new concept, clients can book single trips or sequential “chapters” over the course of the circumnavigation that follow a personalised storyline. During charter programme, Solace will be available for charter exclusively through EYOS Expeditions.

“EYOS’ mission has always been to bring clients a new level of understanding and discovery in the world’s most remote and wild regions,” says EYOS CEO Ben Lyons. “Working with Solace, we are elevating the expedition charter experience and offering a new level of customisation and discovery for select clients.”

The six segments are as follows and span approximately three months:

  • Winter 2025/26 – UAE, Maldives
  • Summer      2026 – Seychelles, Mozambique, Madagascar
  • Winter      2026/27 – Raja Ampat, Palau, Yap, Philippines, Japan
  • Summer      2027 – PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, French Polynesia
  • Winter      2027/28 – Antarctica, Patagonia
  • Summer 2028 – Greenland, Baffin Island,      Eastern Northwest Passage

Built in 2005 by Feadship, 57-metre Solace is currently undergoing an extensive refit to take on this ambitious circumnavigation. She can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, with two additional berths available for EYOS guides, instructors or specialists.

Her interiors, designed by Vickers Studio, are warm and contemporary, with a focus on family gatherings and functionality. Solace also has an impressive collection of toys on board, including e-foils, seabobs, kayaks, e-bikes and diving equipment. The yacht also has a sauna and a gym on board.

EYOS has supplied several sample itineraries within the new charter concept, including a ’Surfing Odyssey”, built around chasing the perfect swells of the Maldives, Seychelles, Micronesia and Fiji as well as a “Frontier Odyssey’, venturing to hard-to-reach places such as Aldabra, PNG, the Caroline Islands, Antarctica and the Northwest Passage.

As part of the Solace Odyssey concept, an EYOS guide will join every charter offered on Solace
