At the top of the list is Leviathan, one of the latest new builds from Oceanco for the Dutch yard's new owner, though Royal Huisman's sailing yacht concept with the "world's tallest mast" and the in-build trimaran yacht from French company Global Yacht Technology also spent time in the spotlight.

1. Oceanco delivers 111m superyacht Leviathan owned by Gabe Newell
The 111-metre Oceanco superyacht Leviathan was delivered following successful sea trials off the coast of Stellendam, the Netherlands.
Owned by Gabe Newell – American video game developer and the new owner of Oceanco – the diesel-electric vessel embodies a human-centric design approach and is a collaboration between the owner, crew and builders, aimed at improving operational efficiency and crew wellbeing.

The 71.5-metre classic superyacht Argosy arrived at Feadship's facility in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, for a comprehensive, three-year rebuild.
Delivered in 1931 by German yard Krupp Germaniawerft, Argosy has sailed under a series of owners and names in her 94-year history, including a stint under Sir Thomas Sopwith, functioning as an escort ship for his J-Class sailing yacht Endeavour.

Turkish yard Alia Yachts launched its latest creation, the custom 50-metre ALY501, from its Antalya site.
Little is known about ALY501 thus far, though the latest imagery does reveal her futuristic profile, complete with an "aircraft-carrier" bow. Supported by three water-jet propulsion units, she is also engineered for high speeds.

British shipyard Sunseeker International Ltd clarified the status of its chief executive following reports that Andrea Frabetti had left the company.
In a statement to BOATPro, the company said Frabetti "remains the CEO of Sunseeker International Ltd" and is currently on a pre-arranged period of leave.

Dutch yard Royal Huisman presented a new, 81-metre sailing yacht concept known as Sky.
The design would have the world's tallest Rondal carbon rig at 93 metres, which is said to equal the height of the Statue of Liberty from ground to torch. An all-British design team of Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and Winch Design have been chosen to collaborate on the ambitious concept.

French nautical engineering company Global Yacht Technology unveiled a new 31-metre trimaran yacht model known as Anahita.
The company, based in the Brittany region, used the opportunity of Metstrade to reveal the design, simultaneously announcing that the first unit from the limited-production series has already been sold and is currently under construction.

Four vessels, including two 24-metre-plus yachts and the 43.1-metre Overmarine yacht Sanctuary, sank following a fire in Zea Marina, near the port of Piraeus, Greece.
According to local reports, the fire began on the day-trip sailing boat Mirasol, before quickly spreading and ultimately destroying several yachts in the vicinity.

UAE-based brand Foiler unveiled the world's first private foiling yacht platform, known as Ghost.
Turkish studio Bozca Design is behind the foiler's semi-customisable design, which is said to represent a "new era of performance, comfort and elegance at sea", while UAE shipyard ENATA will be responsible for the build.

Splendid Sea, a company co-founded by superyacht captain Matthias Bosse and hospitality and private club entrepreneur Michael Hehn, unveiled a new cruising concept at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show: a 155-metre club model around a superyacht and her support vessel, in partnership with Mercedes-Maybach.
The idea for the new Maybach Ocean Club was born during the Covid pandemic, when Bosse was then captain of the iconic 104.9-metre Lady Moura.

Coinciding with the book's publication, BOAT International Media's full-service agency B.creative Studio produced a 25-minute-long documentary film capturing the essence of Disdale’s philosophy and creative journey – showcasing his process, his humour and the quiet confidence that has made his work so revered across the design world.
