Orlebar Brown and Emilio Pucci team up for swimwear collection

British swimwear expert, Orlebar Brown, and designer print specialist, Emilio Pucci, have teamed up to create a vibrant 20 piece swimwear collection for men and women ideal for the summer yachting season.

The collection uses little known Pucci prints from the 1960s and 1970s

Inspired by the Italian jet set and classic Riviera glamour, the collaborative line of long-sleeved rash guards and tailored swim shorts feature signature geometric patterns specially selected from Pucci’s lesser known work during the late 1960s and early 1970s. With practicality in mind, as it should be for a sporty collection aimed at athletic beach goers, each item also comes with a matching waterproof drawstring bag for storing sunglasses and sun cream when in the water.

“My father was the first designer to do resort wear, but a lot of people don’t realise that he has a great menswear following in this category back in the 1970s,” explains Laudomia Pucci, CEO of Emilio Pucci. “It’s a perfect time for us to return to that sunny men’s segment and we’ve found the perfect partner in Orlebar Brown. They are just as obsessed with colour, fit and quality as we are.”

The collection comprises long sleeved rash guards and tailored swim shorts for men and women

“Some print date. A Pucci print never does,” adds Adam Brown, founder of Orlebar Brown. “In fact, this collaboration is very much of the moment – print has moved from being quintessentially a female staple to becoming an accepted part of the stylish man’s wardrobe. We’re delighted to continue to play our part in that transformation and to push the boundaries within men’s fashion.”

The collection is available now with prices starting at £195, visit orlebarbrown.com or emiliopucci.com
