What it's like to cruise on board the latest Navetta 30 Mrs G

There are few better summer superyacht destinations than the Med and few better yachts suited to making the most of the yacht life than the Navetta 30.

Measuring 28.43 metres, the pocket superyacht is Custom Line’s entry-level displacement yacht – but don’t let her size fool you. Featuring a sleek exterior design from Filippo Salvetti and a chic interior from the drawing boards of Citterio Viel, the Navetta 30 is a seriously stylish, spacious and technically capable luxury yacht. As Captain of the latest Navetta 30, Mrs G says, the Navetta 30 is quickly proving itself to be the perfect Mediterranean yacht charter companion.

Delivered in summer 2021, Mrs G is the third hull to be delivered in the Navetta 30 line. “The Navetta 30 is outstanding for its size,” says Captain Erin Smale. “The yacht can accommodate ten guests and has incredible volumes: its three decks are unprecedented for a yacht of this length. This allows the guests a lot more interior space as well as a lot more exterior space – she has a total of four different exterior spaces plus a beach club!”

Here Captain Smale takes us through life onboard Mrs G cruising her favourite hotspots in the Mediterranean.

Arrive in the city of Naples and board Mrs G for the beginning of your Mediterranean exploration. After freshening up, sink into the comfort of the yacht and get acquainted with Captain for a complete introduction to your vacation. Sip an aperitif on the spacious sun deck as you head out to anchor – though the Navetta 30 has no lack of great living areas to choose from. “A total of over 320 square meters of space for a vessel of this size is very significant,” agrees Captain Smale.

Capri is the ultimate destination on the Italian Riviera. Stay at anchor and take in the iconic scenery, and jump in Mrs G’s Williams SportJet 435 tender to be safely transported to shore for a day wandering the island’s quaint streets and cobbled pathways. After an extraordinary lunch under the famous lemon branches of Da Paolino restaurant, take a last visit to Capri’s best luxury boutiques and head back to the boat. Enjoy a dreamy evening eating al fresco on the upper deck with a view of the iconic Faraglioni rock formation off Capri.

After a comfortable overnight crossing of almost 200 nm, wake up to breakfast overlooking the rugged coastline of Sardinia. The beach club is a fantastic spot to soak up the sun and enjoy a day onboard enjoying excellent service and unrivalled privacy. “Mrs G comfortably accommodates a crew of five,” says Captain Smale. “This allows for a standout service for guests. Crew and guest flows are defined intelligently to ensure maximum privacy on board for those days spent enjoying life onboard with family and friends.”

The final destination is Corsica – stopping at isolated islands and undiscovered beaches along the way. “These are very nice areas covering Italy and a little bit of France, so different culture and cuisines. With the two MAN V8 engines rated 1,200 hp fitted to Mrs G, she offers a comfortable and safe cruising experience,” confirms Captain Smale. “She has a range of about 2,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots, so this allows us a generous range to cruise between one destination to another.”
