Spotlight: Maxi Swan 120 from Nautor's Swan

Name: Maxi Swan 120

Length: 36.5 metre

Builder: Nautor's Swan

Sold at the beginning of 2019, the Maxi Swan 120 is one of the largest offerings from Finnish sailing specialist Nautor’s Swan and is one of seven new models currently under construction. The 36.5 metre sailing yacht was first revealed at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show and is designed by long-time Nautor’s Swan designer German Frers. Delivery is scheduled for 2021.

Representing the next generation of performance sailing yachts, the Swan 120 is made from carbon fibre for the lightest possible weight and the highest level of performance. The deck layout is centred around a clean foredeck free of lines so guests can relax under sail without obstructing the crew.

Elsewhere, a hydraulic transom folds down to form a teak-decked swim platform and reveal a garage large enough to hold a 4.5 metre tender. Meanwhile an electrically controlled bimini and sprayhood offer protection from the elements and can disappear into the flush coach roof at the touch of a button.

Accommodation on board is for a total of eight guests in two possible interior configurations penned by interior designer Misa Poggi; one with the owner’s cabin aft and the other with the owner’s cabin forward. Both options also feature a multi-functional saloon with a lounge to port and a dining area starboard.
