The 41.6-metre Jongert 40T sailing yacht Abide has been newly listed for sale with Michael Bach of Ocean Independence.
Built in 2002 with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the ketch features classic exterior lines by Tony Castro Yacht Design with naval architecture done in-house by the Dutch shipyard.
She has been meticulously maintained since her launch, benefitting from a full $6.6 million refit in 2024 that included new decks and systems, and a reimagined master suite designed by Tack Studios. According to her broker, Abide is a "rare opportunity - a pedigree-built yacht that’s been completely transformed with no expense spared".
Boasting full teak decking, there are plenty of areas for guests to enjoy, including the cockpit, with its large settee and centerline table, while retractable stern steps allow for easy access to the water.
Abide's interior was designed by Peter Sijm and features warm wood finishes, soft lighting and a spacious main saloon with seating and a formal dining area.
The yacht welcomes up to nine guests in four staterooms. The full‑beam master suite takes advantage of the vessel’s full eight‑metre beam and features a queen‑size bed, private lounge and desk. There is also a VIP cabin, a flexible cabin fitted with both a double and a single bed, and a twin cabin.
Abide features aluminium spars, hydraulic furling systems and automated winches, making her "smooth, solid and set up perfectly for comfortable, capable cruising", according to her captain. The 166GT yacht for sale can also be powered by a Caterpillar 3406E 608hp engine, providing a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Lying in the Caribbean, Abide is asking $8,500,000.
