The 52-metre Feadship motor yacht Ice Bear has been newly listed for sale with Vesa Kaukonen of Large Yacht Co.
Delivered in 1988 with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Ice Bear was designed by Frits De Voogt to ABS class, with original interiors by Paola D. Smith & Associates.
According to the broker, the yacht is offered with "multiple clearly defined redevelopment pathways". Options include refitting her as an expedition or offshore fishing superyacht, retaining the existing platform while upgrading systems, accommodations and operational capability. Alternatively, she could be converted into a support yacht through a stern extension and deck reconfiguration, or fully rebuilt as a luxury superyacht with a stern extension.
Ice Bear was last sold at auction in November 2024. Today, she lies in the Netherlands, stripped of much of her furniture and ready for a new custodian to transform her back to her former glory.
The broker added: "Depending on the selected pathway, the vessel can be transformed and delivered within an estimated 12-month timeframe from project commencement - a significantly faster route compared to traditional new-build programme.”
Accommodation on board is for 10 guests across five cabins, comprising a master suite, two doubles and two twins, with separate quarters for 11 crew across six cabins.
Powered by twin 1,172hp Caterpillar engines, she can reach a top speed of 15 knots, cruise at 13 knots and has a range of 4,850 nautical miles.
Other key numbers include an internal volume of 614GT, a 9.3-metre beam and a 3.1-metre draught.
Asking €4,950,000 (ex. VAT), Ice Bear is offered on an "as is, where is" basis.
