41m Abeking & Rasmussen catamaran Nurja listed for sale following three-year rebuild

The 40.5-metre motor yacht Nurja has been newly listed for sale with Peter Hürzeler and Adrian Soos of Ocean Independence.

Built by German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen in 2008, Nurja was constructed in steel and aluminium construction to an in-house design. She is one of the few superyachts built on a SWATH (Small-Waterplane-Area Twin Hull) platform and won two Neptunes at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards.

Nurja is asking €38,000,000

Nurja returned to Abeking & Rasmussen in 2021 for an extensive three-year rebuild that encompassed every onboard system. The refit included a redesigned interior by Focus Yacht Design, state-of-the-art Crestron entertainment systems, Böning ship automation with dynamic positioning capability and a newly installed helideck on the upper deck aft.

According to her broker, the rebuild preserves "the radical seakeeping advantages of the SWATH platform", which provides "dramatically reduced roll in conditions that would challenge conventional yachts". Nurja's captain echoes this sentiment, noting that her SWATH hull delivers "a level of comfort and stability at sea that conventional yachts simply cannot replicate".

With an internal volume of 926GT, the main deck saloon features expansive views through large surrounding windows, a lounge area, a sit-up bar and a forward dining table separated by a partition. Sliding glass doors open to the aft deck, which is equipped for al fresco entertainment and dining. Accommodation comprises five en-suite cabins for up to 12 guests.

The yacht's multihull configuration and 18-metre beam create especially spacious onboard areas. As the broker notes: "Nurja offers spaces that simply defy her 40-metre length - unlike anything on the market." This, combined with her zero-speed stabilisers, ensures maximum comfort on board.

Twin 1,100hp Caterpillar C32 engines provide the yacht for sale with a range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 15 knots.

Nurja is asking €38,000,000 and is on display in Port Adriano during the Palma International Boat Show.
