A €500,000 price reduction has been announced on the 40.3-metre Alloy Yachts sloop sailing yacht Kokotea, listed for sale with Burgess.
Kokotea was constructed in aluminium to a design by Dubois Naval Architects and outfitted with an interior by RWD, delivered in 2000 by the New Zealand-based shipyard. Notably, she was the fifth Dubois design to be commissioned by the same owner and the seventh Dubois-designed yacht built by the yard.
An extensive refit and upgrades in 2021 included a full hull repaint, with additional refit works completed in 2023.
Accommodation on board is for eight guests in four cabins, comprising a full-beam owner’s suite (with a private office and en suite), two doubles and a smaller double cabin, in addition to further quarters for a crew of six.
Kokotea's deck saloon features comfortable lounge seating with excellent views out to sea. Steps lead down to the lower deck saloon, which offers a cosy dining environment at a nine-seater table. Opposite, to port, is more lounge seating, including a leather sofa and armchairs.
On deck, the spacious cockpit is covered and well-protected, ideal for outdoor dining. Aft are twin helm stations with good visibility forward around the superstructure and of the Doyle sails towering above.
The ABS-classed, 199GT yacht for sale is equipped with a Caterpillar C18 engine, which provides a range of 3,500 nautical miles under power at a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots – although her Dubois lines plan is faster under sail.
Kokotea is now asking €6,450,000. She is currently lying in Vilanova, Spain.
