Sailing yacht Perseus sold by Aqua Marine and Perini Navi USA

30 July 2012 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

We've been keeping this one under our hats since April as, unusually, the sale was contingent upon the completion of a full refit, but Bruce Brakenhoff now confirms that the deal was finally done in Malta yesterday and Perini Navi’s 50m ketch Perseus has been sold. Arthur Bochno at Aqua Marine in France represented the buyer and Bruce Brakenhoff of Perini Navi USA the seller. Perseus has now been renamed Silencio.

Aqua Marine managed the refit of the 2001-built yacht at Perini Navi's yard in Italy, and also coordinated the interior decoration and design with Christian Liaigre.

Aqua Marine has been appointed worldwide central agent for charter of Silencio which will be available from July at a weekly rate of €150,000.

Perseus was asking €14.9 million.
