Talking to Tim Johnson in Ardell’s Fort Lauderdale office, he tells me of an intriguing twist in the tale of his new central agency for sale, the 35m Sea Cruise, built by Breaux Baycraft in 1971 and recently refited. Tim says, “She’s proved her seaworthiness with a transatlantic range and is a spectacular yacht with massive interior volume and two master cabins as well as two further guest cabins.” Everything on Sea Cruise is brand new, as it has been completely redecorated from bow to stern with new cherry wood cabinetry, granite counter tops, all fixtures and lighting, electronics and appliances plus new air conditioning. It also boasts one of the largest flybridges to be found on a vessel of this size, giving it excellent charter potential. Available to view in Fort Lauderdale, the asking price is $2.795 million. And the twist? There’s a $50,000 bonus on top of normal commission for the selling broker.
