The 38.6-metre motor yacht Areti I has been sold. David Ross of Hamilton Marine International represented the seller in the deal, while Michael Rafferty and Dimitri Blaimer of IYC introduced the buyer.
Areti I is one of only two built in 2007 by American shipyard Burger (a yard described as the "Rolls Royce of US yacht builders" according to the listing broker) constructed in aluminium to an exterior design and naval architecture by Don O'Keeffe, a long-time Burger designer. She has had only one owner since new and has never been chartered.
Accommodation, including a full-beam, main-deck owner's cabin with two bathrooms, is for an owner's party of 10. Two double and two twin cabins are located aft of the lower deck, while further quarters for up to eight crew are situated forward of the same deck.
Her traditional, welcoming interior was penned by Douglas Richey and is characterised by warm, rich woods, cream carpets and neutral-coloured furniture and soft furnishings. Rich cabinetry is featured in Areti I's open-plan main saloon and dining room, and also up in the skylounge - which hosts a comfortable L-shaped sofa and bar. A 200-bottle Eurocave wine cellar and a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano are two notable onboard features.
Heading outside, the aft deck offers al fresco dining, as does the sundeck, where guests can also enjoy a circular hot tub and sit-up bar. Tenders are stowed aft on the bridge deck when underway, while stabilisers make for easy launch and retrieval as well as embarkation at the handy swim platform.
Areti I was last refitted in 2024, having always been impeccably maintained, mainly at Rybovich in North Palm Beach, USA, who also fully repainted her in 2022.
The 334GT motor yacht is powered by twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines, giving her a maximum speed of 14.5 knots, a "high" cruising speed of 13.5 knots and a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. She is also ABS-classed and MCA-compliant.
Areti I was last asking $9,950,000.
