Camper & Nicholsons today revealed it is diversifying and will launch four new projects in the next month: yacht services, finance, insurance and property.
At a press conference at the Monaco Yacht Show, on board superyacht Silver Wind, Gualtiero Giori, Executive Chairman of Camper & Nicholsons International, was on hand to reassure that the brand hadn’t been licensed, asserting that these are new partnerships that will be managed by a central office.
New president Paolo Casani explained the detail of these developments, revealing that Camper & Nicholsons Yard Services is to be provided by Fincantieri. This new company will be based in Genoa and Trieste with 200 metre and 120 metre dry docks available. This partnership will "join the expertise of two leaders to offer the market the possibility to repair or refit with ourselves,” Casani said.
The president also announced that Camper & Nicholsons Financial Services would be launching soon, to "provide financing to customers thanks to agreements with some of the most important banks around the world". Finance will be available for new builds as well as the secondhand brokerage market and these agreements will follow international procedures to allow the purchase of yachts around the world.
Another new project revealed is Camper & Nicholsons Insurance Solutions. The partner can't be named yet, but Casani did explain it was a project shared 50/50 between the two parties. Based in Geneva, Camper & Nicholsons Insurance Solutions will open an operational branch in Monaco. This division will supply insurance policies and solutions, starting with yachting but not limited to it.
The fourth new project announced was Camper & Nicholsons property, which will rent out villas and high-end apartments to its clientele.
"We want to create a suite of services to surround customers with luxury service,” Casani explained.
