Concorde sailing yacht Philanderer sold
by Malcolm Maclean
The 40 metre sailing yacht Philanderer, listed for sale by Joan Plana at World Yacht Group, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Marc Pajot at Pajot Yachts.
Built in GRP by Thailand’s Concorde yard to a design by Farr Yacht Design, Philanderer was delivered in 1992 as part of the yard’s family of Mirabella charter yachts and most recently refitted in 2012. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in five well-appointed cabins in a relaxing ambience designed by Derek Frost. Perfect for chartering, she features two identical VIP suites, two identical twin cabins plus another guest cabin with upper and lower beds, all including en suite bathrooms.
The yacht’s bridge is an enclosed area surrounded by large windows, providing a perfect view of the ocean regardless of the weather. Down the stairs forward is Philanderer’s comfortable saloon to port and dining area to starboard. She has a spacious aft deck sheltered by a Bimini top that has proved to be a popular spot for al fresco dining and she is also equipped with a sauna and a gymnasium.
In 2009 she received a major interior refit, including all new furnishings, a new cockpit layout, new teak in the cockpit, all new navigation and communication equipment and upgraded audio/video equipment. Under power, a 470hp Lugger diesel engine allows a top speed of 12.5 knots and a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Philanderer was asking €1,390,000.
