Thom Conboy at BYS calls with news that he's closed on the sale of the 45m motor yacht Karia, a joint listing for sale with Burgess and the buyer was represented by Josh Gulbranson at Fraser Yachts.

Karia was built by RMK Marine in 2011 to a design by Ron Holland. Lloyd’s classed and MCA compliant, she accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. The impressive master suite on the upper deck has an office/study opening out to the upper aft deck while a large VIP suite is full beam on the main deck. Below, there are two double and two twin cabins and throughout she has a calm, Asian-influenced design with strong Zen accents by Design Unlimited. The main saloon focuses on casual seating with an immediately welcoming and warm atmosphere in a contrasting colour palette of dark and light tones.

Naturally, Karia has the very latest in electronic, communication and entertainment systems. Twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines give her a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots, and she won a Judges’ Commendation at the 2012 World Superyacht Awards.

Karia was asking €19 million.
