Heesen's 50m Japandi-style yacht Bijin listed for sale

7 October 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Heesen's 49.9-metre motor yacht Bijin has joined the brokerage market with Richard Lambert of Burgess

Delivered in February 2015 as Sibelle, the custom yacht was constructed in aluminium by the Dutch yard to ABS class as the first unit in Heesen's 50-metre fast-cruising series. She features the yard's renowned Fast Displacement Hull Form with a striking plumb bow, originally styled both inside and out by Dutch studio Omega Architects with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. All of the aforementioned details contributed to her winning a Neptune at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards.

Bijin hit headlines earlier this year for her extensive 2025 refit, where her interiors were reimagined in a Japanese style by Milanese design studio Hot Lab Design. Previous works were also completed in 2022, including a full repaint.

Renamed Bijin (a Japanese term meaning "beautiful woman") in May this year, her new interiors take inspiration from the country's refined “Japandi” philosophy. As such, minimalist Japanese aesthetics have been blended with warm, natural materials, including original Rhodesian teak, throughout her interiors.

Meticulously maintained, her 2022 upgrades saw state-of-the-art technical upgrades, new smart TVs throughout, bespoke lighting, fresh upholstery and new exterior awnings, said by the broker to "underscore her futuristic profile and racing spirit".

The yacht's interiors are now light and contemporary with neutral tones and natural textures throughout. She can accommodate 10 guests in five cabins, including a 61-square-metre full-beam owner's suite, which is traditionally positioned on the main deck forward and complete with his-and-hers dressing rooms and dual en suite bathrooms. The lower deck is host to two VIPs, one double, and one twin cabin, all with en suites. There are further quarters for a crew of 10.

The skylounge is equipped with another bar and lounge area

Amenities include a well-appointed, 21.5-square-metre beach club and swim platform, directly accessible from the main saloon, with wellness facilities including a gym and sauna. On deck is where the yacht truly comes into her own, however, with 237 square metres of space and a foredeck that transforms into a party area when the rescue tenders are launched with fold-down bulwarks.

Bijin also offers a custom Xtender 7.8-metre tender and a carbon fibre Whitmarsh 6.5-metre MOB/multi-use tender.

Key specs include an nine-metre beam and a 2.4-metre draft

The 499GT yacht for sale can reach a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and cruises comfortably at 15 knots, powered by twin 1,342hp MTU diesel engines. Her range is 3,150 nautical miles at 13 knots. At-anchor stabilisers ensure exceptional comfort on board, and she is also MCA compliant.

Bijin is asking €29,500,000 with VAT paid, currently lying in the West Mediterranean.
