The 100.8-metre Kusch Yachts superyacht I Dynasty has been listed for sale with Merle A. Wood of Merle Wood & Associates and James Auld of SuperYachtsMonaco. She joins the market for the first time since her delivery, now taking the spot as the fourth most expensive superyacht currently for sale in the world.
The second largest build from the German shipyard (not far behind the 133.2-metre Al Mirqab) and its most recent delivery to date, I Dynasty hit the water for the first time in November 2014 before being handed over to her owner in January 2015. She was soon branded "one of the most complex yachts in history", due to her multiple owner requests and strict Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) rules, with Vega Yachts and The A Group's Richard Hein taking on the challenge of her elongated exterior design and naval architecture. As a result, she is "one of the first superyachts fully certified to PYC standards, setting a new benchmark in innovation", her brokers noted.
Read More/I Dynasty: Creating one of the most complex yachts in historyInside, the 100.8-metre superyacht is just as complex. Massari Design penned her interiors, which accommodate up to 34 guests in 12 cabins, plus an additional four staff in three cabins and up to 36 crew in 19 cabins. However, her PYC status actually makes her certified to carry up to 36 guests.
Accommodation is situated mainly on the main and upper decks, with the suites including an owner’s cabin on the main deck – with separate his and hers marble en suites – and two master VIPs on the bridge deck.
An interior volume of 4,437GT is home to a wealth of treasures on board – and that's not just referring to her design. Often featured in BOAT's "the best" roundups online (one of which shines a spotlight on her elegant open staircase), I Dynasty's decor is classically extravagant, contrasting her contemporary glass-heavy exterior profile (which includes glass “shark fins” that act as windbreakers) and honing into the "cosy family yacht with 'wow'" brief that her owner asked for.
Warm woods are the background to dark polished accents and hand-crafted floral designs throughout her furniture and fabrics. Blends of classical notes have been paired with modern features, from the marble pillars in the owner's office to the state-of-the-art elevator that serves all decks, with every space bathed in natural light thanks to repeated floor-to-ceiling windows.
In terms of living spaces, the main saloon is a multifunctional haven, with a separate formal dining area and a space sitting aft fitted with several comfortable seating areas, including one centred around a fireplace. The space also features a games table and library-esque area with a baby grand piano.
The nearby staircase (aforementioned for its "wow-factor") leads to a forward-facing interior observation lounge on the sundeck and the main and upper saloons.
In terms of amenities, I Dynasty's long list includes a bridge deck cinema, a beach club and lower arrival lobby, sauna, hair salon, massage room, hammam, gym and dive centre with its own changing room.
Outside, guests are welcomed with multiple dining areas, a covered cinema, several pools and a float-in tender garage which can also be used as another pool (salt-water). A special note is also given to her wheelhouse, which "looks like an updated version of the bridge from Star Trek’s USS Enterprise", and her crow's nest seating up top, which boasts 360-degree panoramic views. I Dynasty also offers a wide range of tenders and water toys, including a Riva 33 Aquariva and a 9.6-metre Pascoe Limousine.
Power for this yacht for sale comes from a diesel-electric propulsion system comprising twin Rolls-Royce Bergen main engines with 3,433hp each, and triple 994 kW Caterpillar C32 auxiliary engines. Her top speed is 17 knots while she cruises comfortably at 14 knots with a 7,000-nautical-mile range.
She will be lying at anchor during the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, open for inspections by appointment only.
I Dynasty is asking €240,000,000.
