The 36.5-metre Mengi Yay motor yacht Aquila has been listed for sale with Nicholas Tsaoussis of SuperYachtsMonaco and Lima Yachting. She rejoins the market following a €1,300,000 refit completed in 2024, which saw a complete redesign of her interiors, a hull repaint – from gold to grey, enhancing her "shark-like" appearance – and a variety of technical upgrades.
Aquila was first delivered in 2015 as Pennon - a high-performance yacht designed by Ginton Naval Architects and constructed with an epoxy-laminated wood hull. She is MCA-compliant and RINA classed, and has been maintained in a "turnkey condition", according to her brokers.
Aquila's new interiors by Turkish designer İbrahim Konya are minimalist with classic nautical accents. This is most notable in the main saloon, which is bright and elegant, with warm wood tones, pale leather sofas and large windows that fill the space with natural light.
The same can be said for the accommodation, which is equally as contemporary and inviting thanks to wood-clad panelling and soft lighting. Up to 10 guests are welcomed across five cabins, comprising a full-beam master suite on the main deck and two VIP cabins, one double and one twin on the lower deck. There are further quarters for a crew of five in three cabins.
Heading outside, the Mengi Yay build has been designed for leisure and entertaining, with her decks awash with lounge and dining spaces. An expansive sundeck is equipped with a Jacuzzi and a full bar, while closer to the water, the beach club has been transformed to offer a sublime space for relaxing.
The 290GT motor yacht for sale is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, reaching a top speed of 21 knots and cruising comfortably at 17 knots, and kept stable by ABT-TRAC Fin stabilisers. Key specs include a beam of 7.6 metres and a draught of 2.1 metres.
Aquila is asking €6,750,000, currently lying in Turkey.
