The 31.7-metre Mengi Yay motor yacht Nyla has been sold in a deal with Sam Watts of 37South representing the seller.
Designed by Ginton Naval Architects for long-range expeditions, the Turkish build was constructed in reinforced steel and aluminium and boasts an impressive 4,000-nautical-mile range and expansive storage capacity. The yacht also underwent a significant refit in 2022 – only seven years following delivery – that saw her original Guido De Groot interiors reimagined by designer Nunzia Confessore.
Nyla accommodates 10 guests in five cabins, comprising a master suite forward on the main deck – complete with walk-through office, en suite with large circular bathtub and fold-down TV – three double cabins and one twin. Each guest cabin is also fitted with entertainment systems and en suite bathrooms.
Her upgraded interiors are contemporary and open-plan, with expansive windows for ample light. The main saloon now features new "plush" seating, in addition to a retractable projector for indoor screenings. There is also a formal dining area for 10, offering a "refined yet sociable setting", according to her broker.
Large opening doors create a seamless connection to the aft deck, which is home to a curved bar, sofa and hydraulic platforms that fold out and increase the size of the deck.
Her upper deck is fitted with an al fresco dining table, outdoor bar, sun loungers and a large hot tub that overlooks the stern. On the foredeck, there is a casual dining table with a built-in upholstered settee, sun pads and lounge chairs, with a large awning for shade, offering the ideal spot for entertaining in complete privacy, even when in port.
Twin Caterpillar C12 engines provide the yacht with a top speed of 14 knots. She is also fitted with stabilisers for additional comfort when anchored.
Nyla was last asking $7,000,000.
