New-build 42m VK 1 for sale through CNI

31 March 2009 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

I call Mike Payne in the Monaco office of Camper & Nicholsons to ask how work on the 42m motor yacht VK 1 is progressing and he confirms that she’s on schedule for delivery in Spring 2010 from the Vulkan yard in Spain. An all-aluminium semi-displacement yacht, she will be capable of speeds up to 21 knots and have a cruising range of up to 4,000 miles. There are six spacious cabins, including full beam owner and VIP cabins. Equipped with the now-essential zero-speed stabilisers, she is being built to Germanischer Lloyd’s standards, will be MCA compliant and is asking €16.38 million.
