The 44.8-metre Niigata expedition vessel Immortalis, which was listed for sale by David Johnson and Alex Clarke of Denison Yachting, has been sold with John Kearns from SeaBoats introducing the buyer.
Constructed with a steel hull by Japanese yard Niigata for their government as a scientific research vessel in 1996, the yacht underwent an extensive refit and was transformed into a specialised expedition vessel in 2021.
Works included 18 tons of steel help improve stability, a purpose built room for conferencing and dining, an expansive aft deck for storage, a sundeck and helipad deck and a new galley for long expeditions serving up gourmet food.
Immortalis is kitted out with a comprehensive setup of military grade equipment, while every onboard system has a failsafe full backup. Five cabins accommodate up to ten guests, with each cabin boasting a large television.
A well-designed 319GT interior layout includes a main saloon with ample seating port and starboard and a dining area aft for up to eight guests. Meanwhile, plentiful natural light is provided by large windows.
Available for private use or charter, the yacht is well equipped for adventure as well as fishing excursions – Immortalis features 11 rods and reels.
The yacht also features a Niigata 6MG25HX diesel engine, powering her to a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Immortalis was asking $4,750,000.
