Talking to Northrop and Johnson's Annie Avery at the Fort Lauderdale Show this morning, I find that she and Alex Busher of Edmiston & Company have signed Perini Navi's 53m superyacht ketch Independence as a joint central agency for sale.
Delivered in April 1998 and refitted in 2001, she's had a continous programme of maintenance and refurbishment during her time circling the globe and remains in excellent condition. She sleeps 12 guests in a full width master, VIP, two doubles and two twins and _Independence _flybridge has a ten person hot tub, panoramic views and a covered helm station with complete controls. Annie tells me that the asking price has been set at $29.95 million.
