43m Richmond motor yacht Calliope sold

10 April 2026 • Written by Katia Damborsky and Holly Margerrison

The 43.3-metre Richmond motor yacht Calliope has been sold with Stuart Larsen of Fraser and Wes Sanford of Northrop & Johnson representing the buyer and Lon McCloskey of Fraser introducing the buyer. This comes after a further $1,600,000 price drop in March.

Delivered by Canadian yard Richmond in 2007, the 395GT GRP yacht was fully refitted in 2022 and remains in ABS class. Continual upgrades have kept her in good condition throughout her life and she is a proven world traveller that has "cruised around the world on her own bottom", according to Larsen.

Calliope was asking $9,900,000

Calliope's most recent refit in 2022 focused on both aesthetic and functional changes. Her current owner, an experienced yachtsman, added a bulbous bow for improved seakeeping and fuel consumption, and made some improvements to her original Ron Holland design.

Her traditional interiors by Pavlik Yacht Design feature mahogany veneers with burl inlays and Pomelle Sapele woodwork.

The motor yacht has a flexible accommodation layout for 10 guests which can be configured as either five or six cabins (with the option of using the captain's cabin for guest use), and she benefits from a full-beam owner's cabin with a king-sized bed, two bathrooms with a steam shower and whirlpool tub plus a gym-office hybrid – rare for a yacht of this size.

There is a good selection of al fresco areas on board for a new owner to make use of, including a sundeck fitted with a dayhead and whirlpool and a large aft deck with a dining table.

The yacht's C32 Caterpillar engines propel her to a top speed of 17 knots, pared back to a cruising speed of 12 knots. She benefits from a shallow 2.3-metre draught, making her perfect for exploring the Caribbean and Australia.

Calliope was asking $9,900,000.
