The 51.59 metre sailing yacht Meteor, listed for sale by Will Bishop at Yachting Partners International, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Burgess.

Built by Dutch yard Royal Huisman with delivery in 2007, this superyacht's John Munford interior is in a relaxed, traditional and classic theme. The 'Swetania' mahogany used throughout the owners' and guests' accommodation provides a warm, nostalgic glow. This is suitably complemented by elegant, soft furnishings and a collection of artwork reflecting the owners' passion for the sea.

Meteor was asking €15,000,000.

With ample space for six guests in three cabins and a crew of 12 in seven cabins, sailing yacht Meteor is able to accommodate guests in sublime luxury. Dykstra Naval Architects and John G. Aldendesigned a classical full length keel mindful of creating a sea kindly motion. This stability is appropriately complemented with graceful lines and a fine clipper bow together with a bowsprit.

The main saloon boasts a large fireplace and library, all bathed in the light of a centreline bevelled glass skylight. Aft can be found the full width master cabin, and forward are two identical guest cabins. On deck, luxury sailing yacht Meteor is traditional, with two varnished deck houses connected by a cockpit and finished in teak. Here can be found a well-concealed wet bar, two cabins and communications equipment. Offering further authenticity is a pair of miniature cannon which can be fired on the cap rail.

Meteor won an unprecedented three awards at the 2008 World Superyacht Awards.

Meteor was asking €15,000,000.
