50m Scheepswerf van Langerbrugge explorer yacht Te Streep joins market

The 49.6-metre converted hydrographic survey vessel Te Streep has joined the market with joint central agents Jurgen Koch of Fraser and Thomas Wissmann of Wissmann & Associates.

Marketed as an explorer yacht, the all-steel vessel was delivered from Belgian yard Scheepswerf van Langerbrugge in 1985. Major structural works were completed in the Netherlands from 2022 to 2023 beforeTe Streep sailed to Geta Shipyard in Turkey for further works that were completed in 2024.

Accommodation allows for an owner's party of 12 and a crew of 10. The broker said that Te Streep "can either be used as she is for extensive worldwide cruising, or a luxury interior and glossy exterior can be added". He pointed out that "Urban Artists from Berlin together with YardArt from Varel, in Germany, installed a giant sea turtle made from scrap metal and applied a huge graffiti project on both sides of the hull to give her a stunning new look."

The present owner bought her in 2021 with the intention to convert her into an expeditionary cruiser that could be used to explore the Red Sea coastline.

Twin 810hp Anglo Belgian Corp engines power the 643GT explorer yacht for sale at 10.5 knots cruising speed and 13 knots maximum speed. Range is 3,500 nautical miles at 8.5 knots. She has a helicopter "touch & go" pad.
