Superyacht Ameena back on the market with Ocean Independence at a reduced price

More news from Ocean Independence as Jeroen Minnema tells me that the 29m sailing yacht Ameena is back on the market following an extensive refit, and at a reduced price.

Winner of the 2004 ShowBoats Award for best sailing yacht under 40 meters, Ameena is an exquisite mix of the creative and innovative hand of Tony Castro and the Dutch craftsmanship of the renowned Jongert Shipyard.

Designed for cruising, her keel was replaced by Jongert in 2005 at the request of the owner to increase performance, a change that was checked and certified by Lloyd's. As a result she performs very well in light winds but does not heal too much in heavy seas. She can accommodate up to 7 guests in 3 cabins.

She is in excellent condition and was refitted in 2010 and 2011 at the Jongert shipyard.

Ameena was on the market last year asking €5.9 million, but was subsequently withdrawn. Her owner's sailing plans have now changed and she is keenly for sale, asking €5.25 million.
