Superyachts Patriot and Wishing Star for sale at Bartram & Brakenhoff

Joe Bartram at Bartram & Brakenhoff sends word of two unusual motor yachts on his central listings list, the 25.3m Wishing Star and 26.6m Patriot.

Firstly, Wishing Star is a classic 1963 Trumpy, one of only two built to her particular scantlings and the only one of the two in a cruiser configuration. This superyacht sleeps six guests in a master and two twin cabins, has been impeccably maintained over the years and is asking $1.575 million.

Then there's the strikingly different 26.6m Patriot. She was originally built by Feadship in 1984, but Feadship purists would barely recognise her today having been completely rebuilt by Derecktor in 2007, inspired by the Rybovich sportsfisherman look. The rebuild included a totally new engine room and apparently the owner spent far more on customising her to his taste than the current asking price of $9.8 million.
