Tamsen motor yacht Namaste 8 sold

20 April 2022 • Written by Tom McGhie

The 40 metre Tamsen motor yacht Namaste 8 has been sold by David Legrand at Fraser with Peter Hürzeler at Ocean Independence representing the seller.

One of only two yachts of this design, the sleek, RINA classed cruiser features a distinctive cappuccino coloured hull that comes courtesy of her builder, Turkey's Tamsen Yachts.

She was delivered in 2008 with a refit in 2020. The yacht has generous deck areas and interior spaces that larger yachts would be proud of, including 2.47 metres of headroom in the main saloon, which surpasses that of many 50 metre vessels.

Namaste was asking €5,700,000

The living spaces on Namaste 8 boast ample natural woods, cream and soft brown leathers and fabrics accentuated by the occasional oriental feature. Natural light is provided via large windows and oversized glass panels in the ceilings and floors alongside an opening skylight in the upper lounge. Twelve guests are accommodated in five cabins comprising a master suite, two doubles and two twins with Pullman berths.

An impressive foredeck boasts comfortable lounging and dining area as well as a Jacuzzi. This area offers fabulous unobstructed views as well as privacy from the quay when in port.

Twin 2,400hp MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 14 knots topping out at 16 knots and she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

Namaste 8 was asking €5,700,000.
