Superyachts for sale with short delivery times

29 January 2015

As a hugely complex project, today's superyacht takes years to plan and build, involving a number of specialist disciplines. But there is one way to avoid the usual three-year wait to delivery for a custom yacht, and that is to buy a partiallyly constructed yacht, halving the build time. Here we present four part-built superyachts for sale currently on the market.

Superyacht U77 is for sale

Fraser Yachts have joined forces with Burgess to jointly list for sale 77m motor yacht known as project U77. The build was commisioned at the Chilean yard Marco in 2006 and she was launched in 2011 but has never been registered. Built to Lloyds class and MCA coded to LY2, she is presently laid out as a 10 stateroom yacht for 20 guests. The master suite is on the bridge deck with access to its own private aft deck while the VIP stateroom and four guest suites are located on the main deck. The the lower deck hosts a further four guest staterooms and all have en suite facilities.

The upper deck has an observation lounge forward, a formal dining room and a bar while on the sundeck a Jacuzzi with sun pads either side is forward with staircase access down through the funnel to the bridge deck. This sun deck could be extended aft for a heli pad. The build is approximately 50 per cent finished with most equipment purchased so could be completed in 12 to 18 months depending on the buyer's choice of eventual layout.

Awaiting completion in Whangarei, New Zealand, project U77 is asking $24.9 million. See full details, specs and a photo gallery of superyacht U77 for sale.
