The 37-metre motor yacht Commitment is undergoing an extensive refit at Palumbo Superyachts Refit.

Commitment has begun an extensive refit at the Naples based yard

Designed by Willem De Vries Lentsch Jr and delivered in 1989, the 37-metre yacht will undergo a range of works at the Naples based yard, including a radical stern extension that will bring the yacht’s new LOA to 45-metres.

The refit will leave Commitment with a “more modern look paying homage to her original design”, the yard said.

Work is well underway on the project

Elsewhere, the refit will include the installation of a beach club and Jacuzzi, as well as extending the width and length of the flybridge.

The engine room will be completely refurbished and both main engines will be fully reinstalled, alongside the electrical and air conditioning systems.

Work will also include the complete renewal of the pipework, propeller shaft, tender lift and navigation systems.

The refit, which began in July 2019, is due for completion in May 2020.
