50m motorsailer Meira launched by Neta Marine

The 50 metre motorsailer yacht Meira was launched on March 31 by Turkish yard Neta Marine. Currently offered for sale and for charter with Ocean Independence, this steel-hulled yacht was styled inside and out by Evan K Marshall, with a dark blue hull and canoe stern, while Fuat Turan developed the naval architecture.

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests split across six staterooms, including a master suite, complete with his and hers bathrooms, three doubles and two twins. Meanwhile, the crew quarters is suitable for a staff of up to 11 people.

On board entertainment has been thoroughly thought through with Samsung satellite televisions in all cabins and a bar in the skylounge.

Out on deck, guests can choose between a dip in the sundeck Jacuzzi or relaxing in any one of the four sunbathing areas. Other key features on board Meira include a dedicated massage room and sauna.

LYC and RINA compliant, her 495GT interior has been finished in ebony and Aningeria. Leather and marble elements help to create a luxurious feel on board and walnut flooring adds further finesse.

Her custom sailplan totals 597 square metres, while the rigging was all built from aluminium, including a 4.5 metre bowsprit. The fully-stocked garage includes a pair of tenders, canoes, wakeboards, paddleboards, waterskis, Jet Skis and inflatables, as well as equipment for windsurfing and snorkelling.

Power comes from a pair of 1,040hp Mitsubishi S12A2-MPTK engines for a top speed of 12 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of ten knots, Meira has an estimated range of 3,900 nautical miles under power, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 22,500 litres.
