The exterior of the superyacht has been penned by De Basto with a sporty profile inspired by the features of “fastback” cars. Encompassing iconic automobile models such as the Bugatti Atlantic, the Citroen DS and the Porsche 911, fastback cars are defined by a single, sloping line that runs from the roof of the car all the way down to the rear bumper for a smooth and distinctive silhouette.

This feature has been translated into Project Sprint by designing a sleek line which runs uninterrupted from the flybridge to the swim platform to create a gradual slant toward the stern. Each of the three foredeck decks have a tapered design with the aft decks offering open spaces.

“Of course there’s a big difference in scale between cars and yachts and the challenge was to resolve the functional aspects without any compromise,” said De Basto. “It needed to be simple, functional, strong and powerful.”

Other details revealed by the designer include an interior volume of 1,500GT and a beam of 12.1 metres. Seven cabins provide accommodation for guests on board, including an owner’s suite with a private staircase connecting with a private lounge forward. There is also accommodation for up to 20 crew members on board.

Project Sprint will also feature a a touch and go Helipad is integrated at the bow.

A key feature on board will be a sizable beach club located at the transom area which can be accessed from the interior of the boat of the exterior aft deck. The area is equipped with a sauna, gym, massage room and lounge as well as folding platforms to further increase deck space.

There is also storage set aside for two 7.5 tenders with touch-and-go helipad integrated at the bow.
