Abbasli Design has revealed renderings for a 45 metre expedition concept named Caspian Star.
According to designer Ujal Abbasli, the concept has an "expedition soul" and is designed for ocean crossings at all latitudes. A steel hull is paired with an aluminium superstructure with a beam of 8.8 metres and a draft of 2.25 metres.
Like most explorer vessels, the aft deck is the heart of all activities on board, equipped with side-opening platforms that create a spacious, open-air beach club when the toys and seven-metre tender are launched.
A stepped infinity pool sits centrally and spans several levels of the aft deck, from the lounge area down to the swim platform. A second sun lounge is found on the upper deck with a Jacuzzi pool, sofas and coffee tables, while a shaded sundeck offers al fresco dining and a sit-up bar for entertaining guests.
A striking exterior in red and grey houses a muted and relaxed interior concept within. A muted palette of sand, creams and light woods is punctuated by colourful artwork and dark accents, with loose furniture offering flexibility to owners.
Paired with large windows and sliding glass doors, the resulting effect is a sense of openness.
Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins and is run by a crew of seven. A connection to the sea and the yacht's surroundings was central to the design of Caspian Star and has been achieved by extensive use of glass and minimal superstructure allowing uninterrupted views from every angle.
Caspian Star will have a maximum speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots.
This is not the first concept from the boards of Abbasli Design. In January, the studio teamed up with influencer TheYachtMogul to present a 77 metre concept named Mogul 777.
