Arcadia Yachts has confirmed the sale of the fourth 24 metre hull in its Sherpa 80 XL series.
The Sherpa XL is positioned as an eco-friendly pocket superyacht and is an evolution of the original 18 metre Sherpa model, retaining its high, snub bow and boxy bridge deck.
The first hull hit the water in 2019, designed inside and out by Milanese studio Hot Lab, and the exterior features Arcadia's trademark solar panels which provide up to 2kW of clean electricity. On a sunny day in the Mediterranean, that's enough to run most key customs without firing up the generator.
The aft deck extended to around 65 square metres and is designed to be the social hub on board. The space features a swim platform with aft-facing sun pads as well as an al fresco dining area that seats eight or can be extended to seat a total of 10. On windy days, the area can be sheltered by glass panels hidden in a recess in the superstructure.
A television can pop up from a console that divides the lounge space from the dining area on the aft deck and transforms space into an outdoor cinema.
The solar panels cover the main saloon which features an L-shaped sofa to port. Forward, up a half flight of stairs, is a sun lounge and a second helm station.
On the sale of hull number four, the shipyard said: "The latest addition to the Arcadia Yachts family, Sherpa 80 XL is an eye-catching 24-metre yacht that fully reflects the design philosophy of the shipyard, which prioritises respect for the ecosystem through the extensive use of solar power and an ongoing effort to reduce consumption."
The shipyard also confirmed that nine new Arcadia Yachts units are slated for production and delivery by the end of 2022.
