Italian shipyard Baglietto has announced the sale of a 53-metre new-build superyacht, known as Project53. The yacht – penned throughout by Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design – has been sold to a repeat client and is scheduled for delivery in 2029.
Dynamic lines, a vertical bow and expansive glazed surfaces distinguish the project, chosen as such to exude a "contemporary and assertive profile", according to the yard.
Outdoor living is key to the yacht's design, with deck spaces including a "particularly spacious" sundeck with generous areas for relaxation and socialising, and a large beach club which opens on two sides and incorporates a pool and fitness/spa area. On board, the interiors are said to be "elegant, bright and contemporary" with a visual continuity that runs throughout the yacht. Interior details remain sparse, though the yard shared that a main-deck master suite features large windows and a spacious walk-in wardrobe.
Technical specifications for Project53 include an aluminium hull – chosen for an "effective balance between performance, stability, range and operational efficiency" – and an expected top speed of over 16 knots.

"It confirms that the market is increasingly looking for projects capable of offering generous volumes and high-level features while maintaining a truly bespoke approach. Project53 embodies this philosophy perfectly: a contemporary, highly recognisable Baglietto, yet one capable of adapting to the individual needs of every owner."
This latest sale now marks the fifth hull sold by the shipyard this year, a list which includes the first unit from its flagship 46.9-metre DOM155 yacht model, sold in June. According to BOATPro, Baglietto currently has 16 yachts on order or under construction.
