Benetti has launched the 67.2-metre full-custom FB285NK at its Livorno facility. The steel and aluminium build hit the water showing off a contemporary exterior by Cassetta Yacht Designers, with distinctive portholes on the forward part of the hull and long lines of windows on the main and upper decks.
According to Benetti, the yacht has been conceived as a family home on the water and features a relaxed beach house style with a focus on natural light and maximising the connection to the outside world. The interiors have been created by the owner, who was able to "draw on her experience as a designer in the luxury real estate business" and create a yacht "that behind the traditional lines and layout reveals a whole host of ingenious solutions for life on the water".
Design features include a five-cabin layout that is designed to promote a better crew-to-guest ratio and a 10-metre wide saloon with by 2-metre wide circular windows further forward.
Elsewhere, FB285NK has championed FSC-certified teak, which is "a guarantee that the teak used for the flooring is sourced from responsibly managed forests with a planned cycle of environmentally sustainable tree harvesting and replanting".
It marks the second custom Benetti launch over 60 metres this year, with the 61-metre FB283 hitting the water in January.
