Benetti launched the first hull in their new Crystal 140 series of motor yachts in Viareggio on December 1st.

This series of 41.93m composite yachts is ABS classed and MCA compliant, with exterior styling by Stefano Righini. Notable features include large exterior areas and large windows which provide as much natural daylight as possible inside. Accommodation is for 12 guests, with a master suite on the main deck, a VIP suite on the bridge deck, and four double staterooms on the lower deck, as well as space for seven crew.

On the technical side, the Crystal 140 is powered by twin 1,181kw Caterpillar C-32 engines, giving a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

This particular yacht's interior is by François Zuretti who worked closely with the owner's own design team to create a modern style with a Caribbean theme. She is currently being fitted out and will be delivered to her owners in early 2011.
