Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has launched the first unit in its Acciaio 130 series, named Presence. The 40-metre yacht is the third (and largest) model in the Acciaio range, with Presence following in the footsteps of the Acciaio 105 Gatto and the Acciaio 123 Astrum.
An all-Italian design team is behind the new build, including a rugged exterior by Hydro Tec and interiors by Giorgio M. Cassetta. The former features a flared bow and gently curved sheerline - shapes which are reflected in the fashion plates that frame the strip windows on the main, upper and sun decks. Details on the interiors are yet to be divulged, though Cassetta described the living spaces as full of character, and "playful" rather than "pretentious".
"Our shipyard continues to demonstrate its ability to interpret and redefine the concept of the explorer yacht in multiple ways, while remaining steadfast in the values that have always distinguished our builds: quality, reliability, and robustness," said yard co-founder and CEO Vasco Buonpensiere. "This achievement is yet another testament to the talent and dedication of our entire team."

An efficient hull keeps fuel consumption low, while twin MAN D2862LE engines propel Presence to a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Other key specs include an eight-metre beam and a displacement of approximately 388 tons.
