Italian shipyard Codecasa has announced the delivery of its 56.8-metre new build superyacht, Legacy 4. The first Codecasa 57 unit, known as hull F81 throughout construction, hit the water in February at the Codecasa Ugo Shipyards in Viareggio.

The superyacht remained highly secretive throughout construction, which began in December 2023, though it was known that she would feature a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd's Register classification.

At her launch, Codecasa unveiled Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini as a collaborator for the new build's design alongside the yard's in-house technical team, with the teams developing the exterior and interiors to offer a "balance between privacy and conviviality". Pierluigi Ausonio PLANA was responsible for the yacht's naval architecture, while Ocean Independence and Yanova served as the owner’s representatives during the build.

A statement from the yard read: "The building, from the keel laying up to the completion, has been a three-year journey of a well-consolidated work team, in which each actor has been playing a key role. All challenges encountered during the building have been successfully overcome thanks to the productive and positive daily co-operation among these people, who have been striving, each one for its part, to make the owner of the yacht happy."

While interior images remain private, the yard revealed that Legacy 4's interiors are defined by mahogany wood cabinetry, high-quality marble and stone across the floors and furnishing details and velvet and silk upholstery. Accommodation is across an owner's suite and five guest cabins, in addition to a captain's cabin and six twin cabins for the crew. An elevator also connects all decks.

The yacht began construction at the yard's facilities in Pisa but was later transported to Viareggio

Powered by twin 2,375hp Caterpillar engines, Legacy 4 is expected to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots at light displacement, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles when pared back to 12 knots. All other details remain undisclosed.

According to BOATPro, the shipyard currently has three yachts under construction, including the seventh unit from its Codecasa 43 yacht model, which is scheduled for delivery in spring 2028.
