Columbus Yachts has added the 40 metre Columbus 40 Crossover to its Crossover range.
Like the other 50 metre and 57 metre models in the yard's Crossover range, the Columbus 40 Crossover is penned by Hydro Tec. It will also be the smallest yacht in the range.
Key features include a steel displacement hull, bulbous bow and “tense and angled surfaces”, the yard said.
Tenders measuring up to eight metres in length are stored forward and deployed by a retractable crane. This frees up space aft for a swimming pool and large bathing platform. Foldable bulwarks extend this space further into a spacious beach club.
Elsewhere, alfresco entertainment areas are plentiful, including the sun deck, which features sunbathing and observation areas, alongside an outdoor dining area and bar.
Accommodation on board is for a total of 10 guests in five cabins. The traditional configuration sees the owner’s suite located at the bow of the main deck and four remaining guest cabins on the lower deck. A tunnel on the lower deck connects the engine room and crew area.
Propulsion comes from a pair of Caterpillar C32 970kW engines for a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and range of more than 4,000 nautical miles.
