Dutch yard Damen has delivered the 55.5 metre support vessel previously known as YS 5009.

Now named B3, the yacht has been described by the yard as “the first in a new breed of yachts” with a “ground breaking approach”.

Constructed from steel and aluminium, B3’s exterior and interior design both were penned in-house in collaboration with the owner’s team. The result is a yacht that is both “functional and luxurious”, the yard said.

Accommodation on board is for a total of six guests across three cabins, allowing owners to stay on board away from the mothership. The crew quarters meanwhile allows for a crew of seven crew, as well as four pilots, security guards or guides.

B3 has a top speed of over 20 knots and a 5,000 nautical mile range at 16 knots thanks to four Caterpillar 35122.C diesel engines. Other features include panoramic views from the main deck lounge and sundeck and an impressive carrying capability of multiple tenders and toys.

The delivery comes after Burgess announced the sale of B3 in December last year.
