US yard Delta Marine has launched a 33.5-metre Delta 110 motor yacht named Vagabond from its Seattle site. The custom project was commissioned for an owner based in the Pacific Northwest, who wanted a yacht that could be operated with minimal crew and have the seaworthiness to cruise the San Juan Islands, British Columbia and Alaska.
As such, Vagabond features a new hull platform for the yard – a double chine, semi-displacement design for long-range efficiency at up to 14 knots and an impressive maximum speed of 27 knots.
A 7.3-metre beam lends itself to a family-friendly layout, including a main saloon with U-shaped seating and dining for 10 guests. A large galley forward can be enclosed and separated from the guest spaces on formal occasions, while a country kitchen dinette has been included for laid-back or intimate gatherings.
Accommodation is across four lower deck cabins, comprising a full-beam master suite, mirrored convertible twin cabins and a VIP suite in the bow. There are further quarters for two crew.
Walkaround side decks with control stations are designed for easier operation, while the pilothouse is geared for comfort with its twin helm seating and dinette, which can be converted to an extra berth. Al fresco dining can be found on Vagabond's aft deck, with additional seating and a full bar located on the bridge deck. The latter is configured as a semi-enclosed space that can be shaded with retractable sun awnings.
The yacht will also feature a beach garage for toy and gear storage, as well as a hidden flush-mounted anchor in the stem of the vessel and an articulating swim platform with transformer stairs. A custom aluminium tender was another of the owner's requests, supported by a 5,000-kilogram davit.
"We've experienced increasing demand for a fully custom option in the 33- to 38-metre size range," explained Michelle Jones, vice president at Delta Marine. "As most of the yachts in this size are production builds, we were thrilled to work with experienced owners on their unique vision."
According to BOATPro, Delta Marine has three superyacht projects under construction, including a 47.6-metre known as Project Ammo.
