Vitters sailing yacht Delusha begins six month refit

9 December 2020 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

The 43 metre Vitters sailing yacht Delusha has begun a six-month refit at Turkish refit yard KRM.

The yacht arrived at the yard last month and will undergo a number of works including the full painting of the hull and superstructure and full redesign and upgrade of the interior.

The aft area and engine room will be modified and the superstructure glazing redesigned to appear more modern. The main MTU engines, air conditioning systems and water makers will be overhauled and all navigational systems replaced.

Yard managing director Kerem Basar said securing the project was a “milestone” for the yard, which has only completed two sailing yacht refits in the past 10 years.

“We as a KRM refit family are really interested in having such challenging projects, pushing boundaries and delivering them in a high quality with fully satisfaction of the client.

“This is also the best way to show the world that something is really changing in a good way herein Turkey for superyacht refitting and we are the leader of this movement.”

Originally delivered in 1999, Delusha is designed inside and out by Hoek Design Naval Architects and accommodates eight guests and six crew.
