Columbus Yachts’ new Berlinetta series offers explorer yacht capabilities and volumes in a modern and stylish package.
Columbus Yachts, part of the Palumbo Group, will offer its new Berlinetta series in models ranging from 32 to 50 metres LOA. The new yacht designs from Columbus have been developed in collaboration with Too Design of Rome, Italy.
With a priority on interior living spaces and capable of long-range cruising, the new full-displacement Berlinetta series from the Italian builder definitely has explorer yacht attributes. But this is matched by sleek exterior styling and plentiful outdoor entertaining spaces that will leave typical expedition yachts in her wake.
“These yachts offer great volume and comfort; [they are] real pocket superyachts built by a true superyacht builder,” says Marco Casali, owner of Too Design.
Defining attributes of the Columbus Berlinetta series include a wide-body hull design to capitalise on interior living space and full-height windows off the main saloon, which add to the feeling of greater space inside and also open up contact with the sea.
From the main deck aft, steps lead up over the wide-body saloon to the upper deck, and then forward to a bow lounge area. Here a plunge pool enjoys a bird’s eye view from this elevated position – surrounded by sunpads it will be an ideal foredeck lounge. This amenity sets the Berlinetta series apart from typical explorer yachts, as does the spacious transom area, that can be configured as either a beach club or used for tender storage.
Columbus Yachts encourages owners to work with them and Too Design to customise the new Berlinetta superyachts.
