Turkish shipyard FDC Yachts has unveiled the latest addition to its custom "pocket superyacht" builds, known as Project Umai. The first 26-metre hull is already under construction at the yard's facilities in Bodrum, with delivery scheduled for May 2027.
Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Project Umai was developed in-house by the FDC design team in collaboration with Turkish studio FORM Yacht Design. The yacht is said to embody the DNA of the "modern classic" Mediterranean design language - combining large exterior proportions with contemporary onboard comfort.
A volume of 170GT and a beam of 7.5 metres offers generous accommodation for up to 12 guests on board, in addition to three dedicated crew cabins. According to the yard, Project Umai has been conceived for both private ownership and charter operations.
Aside from her layout, a defining feature of the project is the integration of a silent mode option, designed to significantly reduce noise and vibration levels at anchor. Project Umai is expected to reach a maximum speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots with a range of 2,500 nautical miles.
A statement from the yard read: "Project Umai demonstrates FDC Yachts’ commitment to robust engineering, elegant exterior styling and highly customisable interior solutions tailored to modern yachting lifestyles, combining long-range capability with refined Mediterranean-inspired living spaces."
