Feadship launches 72m superyacht Project 827 with dedicated owner's deck

The 71.8-metre Feadship build Project 827 has officially hit the water following outfitting works in Amsterdam. The superyacht has lain low since her first sighting in May 2024, when the bare hull was transported to Amsterdam from the yard's Nieuw-Lekkerland site.

Construction began in 2022, with Project 827 sold by Burgess just six weeks after entering the market in July 2023.

"From the moment we released information about [827], there were several clients who jumped at the opportunity, including her new owner," said Maarten Janssen, Feadship’s sales director. "He was attracted by the relatively short delivery time and the opportunity to bypass the waiting list."

Janssen continued: "He [also] loved the exterior and interior design, and the yacht totally fit what he was looking for in terms of layout for family use. A perfect fit, in other words.”

Project 827 blends the East and West in a marriage of "Scandinavian warmth" and "Japanese minimalism", the yard has previously said. A raked-back superstructure and sharp bow by Studio De Voogt come together to create a dynamic profile on the water.

Guests boarding from the swim platform can either ascend the staircase to enter the yacht from the main deck – complete with a seven-metre swimming pool – or, with the touch of a button, the steps open to reveal a dedicated wellness area at the heart of the vessel with dual accessibility through the beach club and main staircase.

Project 827's interior, designed by Italian studio FM Architettura d'Interni, embraces the "Japandi" style with its use of modern furnishings decorated by light, earthy tones. In a series of renders released by the yard, an unconventional layout sees both the formal dining and lounge areas sitting longitudinally along the main deck saloon, raising the capacity for onboard social gatherings.

Accommodation is spread across seven cabins, including two VIP suites and four additional staterooms on the main deck that have been strategically placed to maximise the amount of natural light entering each cabin. A dedicated owner's deck – a "rare feature" for a yacht of this size – houses the master suite with wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows supplying panoramic views. There is also direct access to a private breakfast area and a hot tub, with the secluded level made possible by the raised pilothouse exterior.

Up top, the sundeck boasts a second pool with large sunpads forward, as well as a spacious aft deck for dining and relaxation underneath a large overhang.

Project 827 is scheduled for delivery in summer 2025.

According to BOATPro, Feadship has 17 projects in the works across its four construction sites, the largest of which measures 132 metres and is scheduled for delivery in 2027. The Dutch yard hit the headlines just yesterday with the news that its 80-metre Project 716 had entered outfitting.
