The highlight of the superyacht calendar, every year the Monaco Yacht Show attracts the latest and greatest builds from around the world. Over 30 entries in the 50-metre-plus range have already been confirmed, with the show set to return to Port Hercule from 24 to 27 September.
BOAT takes a closer look at the biggest yachts both in the port and at anchor, beginning with a truly ground-breaking project from Feadship...
Breakthrough
Length: 118.8m
Builder: Feadship
The world's first fuel-cell superyacht, Breakthrough is currently the largest attendee at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. At 118.8 metres, she's also the largest motor yacht ever launched in the Netherlands, with Edmiston's chief executive, Jamie Edmiston, describing her as "the one that will change it all". British studio RWD is responsible for her exterior and interior design – the latter of which is still yet to be seen – with onboard features including a semi-submerged Neptune lounge, a cinema, library, atrium, hospital facility and a "world-leading" 8.2-metre pool.
Breakthrough is being displayed with Feadship.
Gigia
Length: 85m
Builder: Lürssen
Privacy was paramount in the design of Gigia. British studio Winch Design was selected for her exteriors – masculine but fluid – and American-inspired interiors, which are configured across a staggering 2,850GT of volume. A popular charter yacht, Gigia offers a sprawling dining table (including a "wine presentation" area) and accommodation on board for 20 guests in 10 cabins. Though the private owner's deck is definitely the highlight, housing a lounge, bar, dining area, terrace and private Jacuzzi, all in addition to a suite with his and hers bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe and dressing room.
Gigia is being displayed with Burgess.
Al Reem
Length: 80m
Builder: Bilgin Yachts
Al Reem was previously known as Project Silence and builds on the success of the first unit in the Bilgin 263 series, Tatiana, which made her global debut at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show as the largest yacht ever built in Turkey. However, this yacht offers almost 100GT more volume, including 20 per cent more exterior decking and a larger, more striking mast than her predecessors. She also benefits from a fresh new layout, including an owner's deck (complete with 300-degree views and a Jacuzzi) that has been relocated to the main deck for greater privacy.
Al Reem is being displayed by Bilgin Yachts.
Valor
Length: 79.5m
Builder: Feadship
Launched this May, Valor marks the Dutch yard's latest entry into the explorer yacht genre, joining the likes of Shinkai and Moonshadow. The steel-hulled, high-volume build was commissioned by a repeat Feadship client and is equipped with a two-metre ice belt above and below the waterline, achieving a Bureau Veritas Young Ice 2 notation that can "easily fulfil [the owner's] dream" of transiting the Northwest Passage. This is complemented by heat exchangers that can recycle and capture latent energy, allowing Valor to manage severe Arctic conditions.
Valor is being displayed by Feadship.
Energy
Length: 77.8m
Builder: Amels
Tasked with a brief to "defy convention and find ways to connect with the ocean", naval architect Espen Øino and interior designer François Zuretti came together to create Energy. The design duo first worked together on Blohm & Voss' 74.5-metre Eco, now Zeus, with Martin Francis in the 1980s. The superyacht has an impressive volume of 2,885GT which houses accommodation for 14 guests, an upper deck aft pool, a spacious gym, a large beach club with spa and a glass elevator, to name a few.
Energy is being displayed by Fraser and Burgess.
Amalya
Length: 77.5m
Builder: Admiral – The Italian Sea Group
Launched in January, Amalya is tied with Platinum as the Italian yard's largest superyacht to date. A lithium polymer battery allows the superyacht to anchor silently (and without emissions), though her distinctive Sinot exterior and aqua blue hull will still make her an easy spot in Monaco. Other key features include a six-metre swimming pool, a spa, dive area, gym and a touch-and-go helipad for easy access to and from shore.
Amalya is being displayed by The Italian Sea Group.
After You
Length: 72m
Builder: Admiral – The Italian Sea Group
The first in a two-part series by designer Giorgio Armani, After You is a highly anticipated debut at this year's show. Images from her launch earlier this year reveal her satin gold profile, which has "geometric volumes", floor-to-ceiling windows and a "suspended terrace" design for both upper decks – which house an open-air lounge and a helicopter landing area. Interiors are yet to be revealed, but incorporate Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta and Canaletto walnut, as well as an extensive use of mirrors.

Lady Estey
Length: 67m
Builder: Benetti
The second B.Now 67M, Lady Estey sets herself apart from sistership Iryna with several personalised touches, including a custom rectangular elevator, a guest staircase constructed in marble and glass, widened guest corridors and two custom pools. The two pools – a spa pool and a 40-centimetre-deep "reflecting pool" – expand on the infinity pool concept offered as part of the model's Oasis Deck configuration. Exterior design is owed to British studio RWD, with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design selected for the "Gatsby-style" interiors.
Lady Estey is being displayed by Benetti.
Wedge Too
Length: 65m
Builder: Feadship
On display for the first time since her 2002 launch, Wedge Too is a highly anticipated attendee at this year's show. An unconventional classic, she was the first superyacht designed by the venerable Philippe Starck and is best known for her wooden superstructure, which nods toward the era of traditional yacht building. Her spacious interior is home to three saloons, a formal dining room and a guest lift to all floors – though her private, outdoor guest zone (complete with Jacuzzi and circular sofa) is sure to be a favourite with any visitors.
Wedge Too is being displayed by Camper & Nicholsons.
Simena
Length: 62m
Builder: Ares Yachts
This Taka-designed ketch has been inspired by a "gentler age of sail" and is loosely modelled after a clipper ship, seen best in the bow with its full-rigged bowsprit and trail board. Thanks to British studio Design Unlimited, Simena's classic foundation is contrasted with contemporary interiors that streamline the superyacht's "modern comforts" – such as television lifts within the owner's suite and saloon. The owner's suite is also worth mentioning for its location (forward on the main deck), private dressing room and bow Jacuzzi.
Simena is being displayed by Ares Yachts.
Katana
Length: 61.4m
Builder: Perini Navi - The Italian Sea Group
The fourth hull in Perini Navi's 60-metre sailing series, Katana, hit the water in November last year - some eight years after the build initially began construction under speculation in 2016. She was sold a year into her original build, with the work resuming in 2022 following the redesign of her sailing system by Ron Holland which sought to "improve performance" and "increase the ease of handling". Acclaimed French designer Rémi Tessier penned her interiors, which will be unveiled for the first time at the show.
Katana is being displayed by The Italian Sea Group.
Stella Mi
Length: 60.1m
Builder: Amels
Stella Mi was delivered in 2021 as the first unit from the 60-metre Amels 200 series. She was penned by an all-British design team, with an exterior by Tim Heywood and interiors from Reymond Langton Design, the former of whom commented during the build that "there are many features of this design that bring a smile to my face". She has a sizeable interior volume of 1,015GT which houses a plethora of amenities, including an enclosed air-conditioned gym on the sundeck. Stella Mi is also IMO Tier III-compliant thanks to her hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system.
Stella Mi is being displayed with Burgess.
O'Madeleine
Length: 60m
Builder: Golden Yachts
Fresh from the yard, O'Madeleine began construction in 2022, according to BOATPro, following a custom commission. The 60-metre superyacht was designed by an all-Italian team and longstanding Golden Yachts collaborators, with Massari Design curating and designing the exterior guest areas, saloons, staircase, beach area, and sundeck, and Studio Vafiadis drawing the exterior lines and superstructure, in addition to the guest cabins. Her interiors were developed "in close collaboration with the owner", featuring soft, sculptural furniture and leather ceiling vaults.
O'Madeleine is being displayed by Golden Yachts.
Scott Free
Length: 60m
Builder: Abeking and Rasmussen
Relaunched in 2022 after an extensive six-month refit by Abeking and Rasmussen, Scott Free impressed onlookers with her new sky-blue hull and the addition of a sea-level beach club. Her opulent Bannenberg & Rowell interior was also given a fresh new facelift in the overhaul, with an elegant saloon filled with curated art and a full-beam Art Deco-inspired master suite featuring 12 large oval windows that fill the room with light.
Scott Free is being displayed with Burgess.
After You
Length: 60m
Builder: Damen Yachting
After You is the first from the Dutch shipyard's new Xplorer 60 series – a luxury expedition range designed for world travelling, from the glamorous hotspots of the Med to the harsh polar climates. Another new addition to the builder's fleet this year, the superyacht first hit the water in March at Damen Yachting's dedicated new build yard in Antalya, Turkey, unveiling her powerful white Azure Yacht Design profile. Her interior by H2 Yacht Design will be showcased for the first time at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, said to take inspiration from the British studio's earlier, high-profile expedition projects, including the world's largest yacht, REV Ocean.
After You is being displayed by Damen Yachting.
Memories
Length: 60m
Builder: Amels
Despite being the seventh unit from the Espen Øino-designed Amels 60 Limited Editions, Memories is still a first for the Dutch shipyard. British design studio Harrison Eidsgaard collaborated with Amels for the first time on board the latest 60-metre, creating "beach house" interiors decorated with stainless steel and bronze details and rich with natural oak. Highlights include a full dive centre and beach club complete with a sauna and gym equipment.
Memories is being displayed by Amels.
Maximus
Length: 59m
Builder: Vitters
Commissioned for a highly experienced owner with a "focus on performance, comfort and precision", Maximus was constructed in aluminium to a design by Germán Frers, marking the second collaboration between the yard and designer. She has been engineered for both blue water range and comfort and is the third-largest sailing yacht ever built by the Dutch shipyard, shadowed only by Anatta and Aquijo. Highlights include full-beam owner's suite with a private deckhouse and a central cockpit with al fresco dining.
Maximus is on display with Vitters and Edmiston.
Perla Lunar
Length: 58.3m
Builder: Sanlorenzo
Little is known about Sanlorenzo's latest new build from its 57Steel series, Perla Lunar, the fourth unit from the steel and aluminium model designed by Zuccon International Project. According to BOATPro, construction on the superyacht began in 2022, with features from the series set to include a float-in tender garage and a large beach club illuminated by an aft deck glass-bottomed pool above. She will debut to the industry for the very first time at this year's show.

Solace
Length: 57m
Builder: Feadship
Solace is set to be relaunched this summer following a major rebuild at Pendennis Shipyard in the UK. Originally delivered in 2005 by Feadship, the motor yacht has been transformed following a new partnership with EYOS for a unique narrative-driven charter concept. Once relaunched, Solace will undertake a continuous eastward circumnavigation over a three-year period, visiting destinations such as the Maldives and the Northwest Passage. Upgrades include a redesigned interior by Vickers Studio and the addition of a sauna and gym.
Solace is being displayed by Pendennis Shipyard.
Rose
Length: 55m
Builder: Tankoa Yachts
Another new build set to make her international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this year is Rose, the first 55-metre hull in Tankoa Yachts' new T55 Sportiva range. "Aerodynamic" and elongated lines by Italian designer Luca Dini define the new series' profile, with the first unit decked out in interiors said to bear the "unmistakable signature" of Piero Lissoni from Lissoni & Partners whilst being completely bespoke and contemporary. Onboard highlights include an innovative Nemo Room (first seen onboard Feadship's Savannah) and a vast beach club centered around a large swimming pool.
Rose is being displayed by Tankoa Yachts.
Solemates
Length: 55m
Builder: Heesen
Delivered in May this year, Solemates is distinguished by her distinctive slender steel hull using Van Oossanen Naval Architects' ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture was behind Solemates’ interiors, with vibrant colour schemes of lime greens, teal and baby aqua blue peppered throughout. Among the 760GT yacht’s many standout features is a statement staircase embedded with gold flakes and crystals and a cavernous 82-square-metre owner's apartment.

Riva 54 Metri
Length: 54m
Builder: Riva
Launching this year, the first model in the Riva 54 Metri series shares the same iconic design DNA as the rest of the Riva fleet – with curved windows and a light exterior paired with dark glazing – but this model takes things a step further with over 370 square metres of outdoor space. Running from top to bottom, there’s a sun lounge forward of the wheelhouse, two al fresco dining options on the sundeck and the bridge deck and a stepped lower deck with a swimming pool. The model is the result of collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, Ferretti Group's strategic product committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.
The Riva 54 Metri is being displayed by Riva.

Builder: Damen Yachting
Emotional is one of Damen Yachting’s latest deliveries, a 499GT yacht and the third of the shipyard’s six YS 53 models. She can serve either as a primary or support vessel and, typical of her type, she boasts lots of cool features such as a 15-tonne crane and 200 square metres of deck space – lots of room for carrying tenders, submersibles, adventure gear or even acting as a helicopter landing pad. Her high-sided axe bow hull is designed to create a smoother, more stable ride for the six guests who can be accommodated over three staterooms, and she can cater for 11 crew members.

Fauda is being displayed with BlackOrange Yachts.
Camila
Length: 49.9m
Builder: Bilgin Yachts
According to designers Unique Yacht Design, Camila’s “sportive look” was achieved with larger-than-average exterior areas, including a 21-metre-long sundeck and 12-metre-long bridge deck aft. Italian designer Hot Lab penned the interiors which focused on "clean architectural volumes", a look achieved by gentle transitioning between every colour and material used on board, combined with natural tones like champagne, cream and pearl greys. Delivered in May as the second yacht in the Bilgin 163 series, she is the sistership to Eternal Spark, which premiered at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show.
