Feadship superyacht Legacy V in final stages of rebuild at Balk Shipyard

1 August 2022• Written by Katia Damborsky

Now known under the name Project L V, the 49 metre Feadship superyacht Legacy V  is in the final stages of a complete rebuild at Balk Shipyard.

The yacht arrived at the yard in October 2021 and is set to be redelivered in the coming months. Key modifications include a 2.5 metre extension which will take her total LOA to over 50 metres. Major modifications have been made to the superstructure, the decks and the mast, alongside the installation of new equipment.

Work also includes a complete reconfiguration of the sundeck and an interior redesign that will breathe new life back into her social spaces and accommodation.

On the exterior, the yacht will receive new teak decking and a fresh lick of paint on both the hull and superstructure. In terms of technology, the project will benefit from an upgraded electronic navigation system that will help her while underway.

She joins several other projects in the works at Balk

The yacht is currently in shed one at the shipyard in Urk and is expected to be relaunched shortly.

The yacht is joined by several other projects in the works at Balk, including the 42 metre Flying Manta, which was relaunched after a short refit period earlier in the month.
